Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShipHub platform, operated by Pareto Tech Inc. ("ShipHub," "we," "us," or "our"), accessible at shiphub.ca and shiphub.ai. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

1. About ShipHub

ShipHub is a third-party shipping platform that connects Canadian businesses with private carrier networks. We provide the technology to generate shipping labels, schedule pickups, track packages, and manage shipping operations. We are not a carrier. We facilitate access to carrier services on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

To use ShipHub, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be a Canadian business or individual with a valid Canadian address to use our services.

4. Prohibited Items

You may not ship the following items through ShipHub. Shipments containing prohibited items may be seized, destroyed, or returned at the shipper's expense. ShipHub and its carrier partners accept no liability for prohibited items.

  1. Human remains in any form
  2. Live animals, birds, and insects, or the remains thereof
  3. Live plants or cut flowers
  4. Fruits or vegetables
  5. Fish, seafood, meat, and poultry (fresh or frozen)
  6. Cash, coins, bonds, stocks, or other negotiable securities
  7. Jewellery, gold, or any other precious metals (other than costume jewellery)
  8. Weapons (and parts thereof) and ammunition
  9. Any dangerous substances as defined by the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act (TDGA) or by the Dangerous Goods Regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), including:
    • Biohazardous infectious material
    • Carcinogens
    • Dangerously reactive material
    • Hazardous waste
    • Infectious material
    • Diagnostic substances
    • Radioactive materials
    • Forbidden dangerous goods
  10. Any item prohibited by law in the originating jurisdiction, the destination jurisdiction, or any jurisdiction through which the shipment may transit

5. Accurate Package Information

You are responsible for providing accurate dimensions (length, width, height) and weight for every shipment. If the actual size or weight of a package exceeds what you declared at the time of label purchase, the following applies:

Continued underestimation of package size or weight may result in account suspension or termination at our sole discretion.

6. Rural and Remote Surcharges

Shipments delivered to rural or remote areas (identified by postal codes where the second character is "0") may incur additional surcharges from the carrier. These surcharges are passed through to you and will be reflected on your invoice. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to these additional charges for rural and remote deliveries.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Same-day cancellation

You may cancel a shipping label from within your dashboard at any time before midnight EST on the same day the label was purchased. Same-day cancellations are processed automatically and the charge will be removed from your next invoice.

After-midnight cancellation

If you wish to cancel a label after midnight EST on the day of purchase, you must contact our customer service team via the in-app chat to request a refund. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to carrier policies.

Non-refundable situations

Labels that have already been scanned by the carrier or where a pickup has been completed are not eligible for refund.

ShipHub is a technology platform that facilitates shipping through third-party carriers. As such:

10. Dispute Resolution

ShipHub is a third-party platform that connects you with private Canadian carriers. We are not the carrier and do not assume carrier liability for shipments.

If you experience an issue with a shipment (loss, damage, or delay):

ShipHub bears no direct liability for the outcome of carrier disputes but will advocate on your behalf throughout the process.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

Upon termination, any outstanding balances remain due and payable. Pending shipments already in transit will be delivered, but no new labels may be created.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ShipHub shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform. Continued use of ShipHub after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
